packet pick-up
All participants will receive a pair of Milwaukee Lakefront 5K mittens plus an official Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon gear bag at packet pick-up. Use the bag to transport your personal items to the start line where you may retrieve it after your run. Runners are encouraged not to put valuables in the bag (cellphones, keys, wallets, etc.).

Our course
​​​The 43rd edition of the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon offers participants a unique and scenic route along the shores of Lake Michigan and through downtown Milwaukee. Notably, this marathon is the only race that crosses over the iconic Hoan Bridge, providing runners with breathtaking views of the city and the lake.
​
As one of the largest marathons in the state, it attracts runners from all over the country and internationally, eager to experience the beauty of the course and the vibrant atmosphere of Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is produced by the Badgerland Striders Running Club and we are proud to say this event is "For Runners, By Runners!"
Water station
There will be one station at the top of the Hoan.
Parking
Participants and Spectators are encouraged to park at the Italian Community Center or The Lake Lot

· Park in any unreserved space at the ICC Lot (178 N. Jackson St.) or Lake Lot (328 N. Van Buren St.)
· Scan the QR code on the posted signs (on columns/light poles)
· Click “Buy Parking” button

After-PArty
Every 5K run participant will receive a finisher medal, bottle of water, bag of chips, post race snacks and a Michelob Ultra beer (must be 21+).
King & Queen of the Hoan Competition
A Royal Race to the Top of the Hoan - Presented by Performance Running Outfitters

We’re adding a fun, competitive twist to the Milwaukee Lakefront 5K. The first male and female runners to reach the peak of the Hoan Bridge and cross the timing mat will be crowned the King and Queen of the Hoan! Each winner will take home a $100 gift card to Performance Running Outfitters.
But that’s not all—NEW in 2025, the 414th finisher will score a $41.40 gift card to Performance Running Outfitters.
