Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon

WEEKLY BUILD-UP RUNS

WEEKLY RUNS BEGIN IN JUNE

The Lakefront Marathon build-up runs take place on Saturday or Sunday mornings at various locations in Milwaukee County beginning with a 6-mile distance in June. This FREE program, is one of the most powerful and motivational training programs you can take advantage of. Join hundreds of your friends and new friends on this run-at-your-own-pace opportunity.

Aurora Sports Health provides running specialists at each of the build-up runs. These therapists and licensed athletic trainers provide evaluations and treatment recommendations. Their staff makes sure to address any runner’s concerns and are typically there until all runners have returned. A big thank you to Doc Gordon for being available to runners for questions and evaluations.

Volunteers are needed each week to help with the water stops. Contact Build-Up Run Director Jeff Weiss for more information.

Looking to add a little extra something to your marathon training? Maybe you want to improve your time or just have a better training experience? Then we have the program just for you! Led by certified running coaches, we’ll work with you to put together a training program to fit your ability level and your lifestyle. We’ll also provide tricks and tips for training and race day, as well as guidance through the whole training process, all for only $150.00.

  • One-on-one initial consulting session with an RRCA certified running coach
  • Individualized training program (14 weeks)
  • Access to coaches via email, text or other messaging service
  • Weekly coached group workout
