A Few Things to Keep in Mind

When traveling on the course please follow the directions of law enforcement officers, volunteers and race officials. They are out on the course to keep the runners safe!

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Put litter in its place! We are guests in these communities.
  • Driving on the race course during the race is highly discouraged.
  • Parking is not allowed on the streets in any of the municipalities in the first 18 miles of the race course. In addition, parking is not allowed in the synagogue or church lots on Brown Deer Road and Lake Drive (approximately mile 15). Violators will be ticketed and/or towed.
  • The big one: Please do not accompany, follow, or assist the runners in any way. Doing so could result in disqualification.

TIPS FOR SPECTATORS

  • Track your runner! If your athlete is carrying a phone (GPS), you can track them in real life. If they do not have a phone, we will have mat timing available, meaning that alerts can be sent to you (sign up) notifying you when your runner crosses mats along the course.
  • We will have food trucks available for purchasing of food and refreshments.
  • Make a sign for your athlete at the Expo for free.
  • Please be respectful of area businesses, personal residences and municipalities at the start and along the course.
