Are you interested in becoming a pace team leader for the 2018 Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon? Becoming a ‘pacer’ is a very satisfying volunteer opportunity as well as a way to build your running resume. Applicants should be committed to running their target time by running each mile at the same designated pace.
Leaders are needed for 3:00, 3:15, 3:25, 3:40, 3:55, 4:00, 4:10, 4:20, 4:30, 4:40, 5:00, 5:30 target times. These overlap many key Boston qualifying times, but also add options for those who have no interest in a BQ.
Looking for a challenge and reward all mixed into one? We are in need of a ‘sweeper’ that will officially close the course at the 6:30 cutoff. That’s race time, not time of day! Please contact Rick (address below)
To become a pacer, you need to have completed at least three marathons and be a current member of the Badgerland Strider running club.
