This year the kid's run will be held on Sunday morning, Oct. 6th. It will be a short run of about 1-1/2 miles starting at the Lakefront Marathon finish line. It will not be a summer long program, as it was in the past.
Forms will be available by June 15th.
What is the Lakefront Marathon Kids Run?
The Kids Run is a non-competitive run designed to promote physical activity for kids and their families. This year the run is not part of a summer long training program. However, participants and their families are encouraged to get up and start moving by running or walking ¼ mile, ½ mile, ¾ mile, or 1 mile segments during the summer.
On Sunday, October 6, 2013, participants will run approximately 1.5 miles on the race course. Participants will cross the same finish line as Lakefront Marathon runners, complete with cheering fans and official announcer! Afterward, stick with us in the finish area for some post-run snacks, games, and entertainment to celebrate.
What time does the race take place?
Tentative start time for the 2013 Kids Run is 7:30 a.m.
