Yes! The course is USATF certified (WI11041DM) and a Boston qualifier.

If you signed up for registration refund insurance during online registration you will have to contact the third party service.  We do not offer refunds, transfers, or deferrals.

You may walk but you must maintain a pace to finish in 6.5 hours.

The expo and packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Westin Milwaukee, 550 N Van Buren St.

We allow you to have someone else pick up your packet if they have their ID and a photocopy or picture of your ID.

You can bring it to the finish area on Sunday and exchange it for whatever sizes are available.

FREE Transportation to the Start.

We encourage runners to use the free shuttle bus service to the start area. Please note that the bus service to the start is only for registered runners. The buses going to the start do not return to the parking area or the finish line. Runners can get on the shuttle buses at the following locations:

  • General Race Day Parking at the Italian Community Center-631 E Chicago Street.  Buses load from 5:15am-6:15am
  • The Westin Milwaukee-550 N Van Buren Street.  Buses load only at 6:00am.
  • Hyatt Regency Milwaukee-333 W Kilbourn Avenue. Buses load only at 6:00 am.
  • Courtyard Marriott Milwaukee-300 W Michigan Street. Buses load only at 6:00 am.

Parking at the Italian Community Center is free to register runners who show their race bib or confirmation email (runners with race day packet pick up).  Please enter the parking lot from Jackson Street.  Portable toilets will be available near the shuttle bus pick up area.

Spectators may park at the Italian Community Center-631 E Chicago Street.  There is a $5.00 fee to park.  Shuttles will run continuously from 9:00 am to 2:00pm from the Italian Community Center to the finish area.

Spectators can also park at the O’Donnel parking structure-910 E Michigan Street and walk to the finish area.  There is a $5.00 fee to park in this lot.

Runners can also be dropped off at Grafton High School on race morning.  Please keep in mind that Grafton High School is under construction and there will be limited access to the parking lot.

All runners will receive an official Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon drop bag at packet pick up.  Put your items in here and drop the bag at the Grafton Transit truck near the start line.  Items not retrieved after the race will be discarded.  Please do not your car keys, cell phone, wallet, or other items of value in your drop bag.

Each aid station will have water, Lemon-lime Endurance Formula Gatorade, and portable toilets.

Power Gel will be available on the course at approximately miles 7.5 and 19.5.  Flavors include Strawberry-Banana (caffeine), Double Latte (caffeine), Vanilla, Orange Dream, and Pomegranate Blueberry Acai.

Headphones are allowed on the course although discouraged because of safety concerns.  If you are competing for prize money, you may not use headphones.

No, non-registered runners are not allowed on the race course.

No, strollers are not allowed on the course per insurance and permitting.

You may not start early due to safety considerations and permit restrictions.

Please leave your dog at home.  Milwaukee County ordinances prohibit dogs in the county parks; this includes the finish area and several of the water stops.

The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is held the first Sunday of October.  Registration information will be available on our website.
